"Sara?"
"Honey, where did you go? I came back from seeing Josie and you were gone."
"I went to see Rae."
"Oh, I'm sorry for how I acted early. I have to trust you, it just gets hard some times."
"Sara, I…I went there and I kissed her." Casey's eyes began to tear up at Sara's stricken face, "I was about to make love to her but I couldn't because of you, because I love you." Casey moved closer to Sara but she pushed him roughly away.
"Don't touch me."
"Sara, I didn't. I love you."
"Don't say that. You don't know what the word love means. If you loved me the thought of making love to Rae would not have ever crossed your mind." Sara took her jacket off the coat hook and opened the door and walked out into the dark of night.
If only she knew just how dark it would be.

Tawny sat in the small office. All she had to do was sign a few papers and she would no longer be Tawny Miller but Abigail James. The Witness Protection Program was doing what they could. She would no longer have to deal with Ryan or his 'people.'
She was going to be free.
"Tawny?"
"Yes?"
"Everything is ready. Do you know where you're headed?"
"Sunset Beach, California."
"Perfect."
Too bad Tawny didn't know just how far Ryan was willing to go to get exactly what he wanted…her.

Sara's entire body racked with sobs as she sat alone on the park bench. Never had she felt so much pain.
In the dead of night, and the cold, all she could feel was the pain of Casey's betrayal. A pain that would linger even if she and Casey were to reunite.
"Sara?"
Sara quickly wiped the tears from her eyes mot wanted anybody to see her pain.
"Are you okay?"
Lit in the light of the lamppost Sara could make out Ben's face.
"No, I'm not and I don't know if I ever will be again."
Fresh tears formed in Sara's eyes and Ben sat down next to her, "Tell you favorite brother-in-law what's wrong."
"Casey…and I…we…we're getting a divorce."
Ben couldn't find the words to make Sara feel better so he just held her tightly hoping that in some small way he was helping Sara.

"Samantha?"
"Ya, chief."
"Any new info about the Michelle case?"
"Yes, it seams Michelle has a sister who lives in Sunset Beach with their father. Now her mom is telling me she probably just ran away."
"And what do you think?"
"Her mom is lying. I'm not sure about what but I know she's lying about something."
"So what are you going to do?"
"Take a little trip to Sunset Beach. See what the father knows…if anything."
"Do you think he does?"
"I'm not sure, but there is more to this story. Maybe the Ross English can shed some light on it."

"Oh, Ross. How lovely I hear things are for you." Teresa Concave thinks with a laugh.
"Poor Ross. First Chelle, then Joella, and his poor child dying."
"Lucky for him I'll be here to pick up all the pieces."
"You'll never know what hit you Ross." Teresa then preceaded to take a shower trying to ignore the banging against the wall.
And the pounding inside her head.
"Sunset Beach will never be the same. I'll see to that."

"Mr. and Mrs. Cavanaugh?"
"Yes, doctor?"
"Is something wrong?" Annie asked concerned.
"It seams there is a small tear in your placenta. We're going to have to do a emergency C-Section."
"No, it's too soon. I'm not do for another month."
"Jude, no."
"Annie, everything will be okay. I promise."
Nurses began to wheal Annie into surgery. Another doctor came over to Jude to talk to him.
"We need your consent for surgery."
"Please tell me that my wife and my baby will be okay, please?"
"We aren't sure, but there is little chance either will survive if the surgery isn't done."
Jude looked at the papers in front of him. What could he do but sign them?
Nothing. Jude Cavanaugh.
"Please, please, Let Annie be okay. And our baby."

"Lolita? Bella? Anybody?"
"Gab. Is that you?"
"Ya Lollie it's me." Gabi looked at her sister pale face and tirid eyes. "What's wrong?"
"Nothing. I'm just waiting to hear if my blood tests are back."
Gabi sat down across from Lolita and clasped her hands, "You know that I'm here for you no matter what, right?"
"Thank you."
"Everything will work out, I promise."
"I just don't think I can do this."
Tears began to fall from Lolita's eyes and Gabi reached over and hugged her sister tightly. She did want to let go. Only two people in the entire world could know what it was like for Lolita, and one of them couldn't even remember. Didn't want to remember. Gabi held Lolita in her arms so tightly needing so bad for Bella to be here and help her hold their sister.

Bella returned later then usual tonight. Her date had gone well, better than some of her past dates. The mauling had been kept at a minimum.
"Gabi? Lollie?"
Both her sisters were sitting on the kitchen table eating cookie dough ice cream.
"Spoon?" Gabi held out another spoon as an invitation.
"No thanks. Did Ricardo bring Maddie back?"
"Ya, she's asleep." Gabi said in between bites of ice cream.
"How was you date?" Lolita asked.
"Well we'll probably never go out again because he got upset that her didn't get any but at least he kept it to the privacy of his car."
"Has anybody ever told you that you have bad taste in man?" Gabi asked.
"Excuse me? This from the girl that went down a priest's pants?"
"Bella." Lolita said.
"I made a mistake. Trust me Bella you have made you fare share. Maybe that's why you have a child at the age of seven-teen."
"Please! Stop! You guys always fight. I hate it! I hate it! Can't we be civil? Goddamn it we're family."
Lolita slammed her spoon down on the counter and ran out of the room tears streaming down her face. Bella and Gabi looked at each other and both quietly walked upstairs trying to ovoid further confrontation.

Joella walking to the kitchen and poured to cups off tea, one for Sara and one for Ben.
Both were in her living room, in painful states.
Sara and Casey were fighting about Rae and Meg and Ben's relationship was also hitting the skids.
"Well maybe if I help others forget about their problems maybe it'll help me forgot about mine."
"Here you are."
"Thanks." Sara said, "Are you sure you don't mind me crashing here?"
"Of course not, Sara."
Ben picked up his glass and looked at it, "Are you sure you don't have any brandy?"
"Ya, sorry."
"Oh well, I should be going then."
Ben said his good-byes and then left to return home no-doubtingly to an empty bed.

"So are you sure Casey was going to sleep with Rae?"
"Yes, he told me."
"Oh, Sara. I'm so sorry."
"Thanks." It took all of Sara's strength not crumble right there. "I mean, I know that we were having problems but he told my that my feelings of jealousy about Rae were unfounded…and I believed him."
"Sara, don't you think you owe it to yourself to try and make your marriage work?"
"No, not anymore."
"Don't let one mistake ruin two years of marriage."
"Why does it have to hurt so much?"
"Because you love him and betrayal is the worse thing a person can deal with."
"Thanks, Ellie. I feel much better. So how are things between you and Ross?"
"There is no me and Ross."
"Are you sure about that?"
"What happened was a mistake."
"So what you're saying is that you have no romantic feelings for Ross whatsoever?"
"Even if I did, there is no way it would ever work out."
"Are you sure?"
"Sara there are some things about Ross you don't know."
"Like what?"
"I don't want to talk about it."
"Well maybe you should."
"Ross just was upset after it happened."
"Upset how?"
"Kinda scary upset."
"What did he do?"
"Nothing, he just scared me, that's all."
"Are you sure that's all it was."
Sara, you have no idea how much I hope that's all it was.
